The Kia Classic made its debut on the LPGA Tour in 2010 at the La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad. Coincidentally, it marked the first of many stunning performances by a young player from South Korea named Hee-Kyung Seo.
On Tuesday in March 2010, Seo tried the Azimuth Golf System for the first time.
On Sunday, five days later, Seo was holding the inaugural trophy of the Kia Classic, winning by six strokes with a 12-under par 276.
Seo became the 19th non-LPGA member in LPGA Tour history to win an LPGA Tournament and the first player since 2006 to win as a sponsor exemption. With the victory, Seo immediately became eligible for LPGA membership and was named Rookie of the Year on the LPGA Tour in 2011 with five Top 10 finishes.
As a member of the Korean LPGA Tour with 11 victories, Seo credits her first victory on U.S. soil to the Azimuth Golf System.
“I like it, I use it and I won because of it.” Seo said.
Seo’s game continues to rise. In 2013, the 26-year-old (her birthday is July 8) ranks No. 23 in scoring average and No. 37 on the LPGA money list. However, she ranks No. 12 in putting average this year.
Thanks to the Azimuth Golf System.
